History
Royal Caribbean Intentional has been on the industry since 1968. From the emergence of ideas by Anders Wilhelmsen, a Harvard-educated investor and Edwin Stephan, a famous Florida businessman. Both only wanted to put together the large community of extremely wealthy Americans in Florida, by taking them on a nearby island called Caribbean, with of course, the help of their dollars. They asked for the help of three Norwegian shipping companies namely Anders Wilhelmsen & Company, I.M. Skauge & Company and Gotaars Larssen, to make everything possible. Their first ship was the Song of Norway, first came to service in 1970. They called their new industry as Royal Caribbean Cruise line but changed into Royal Caribbean International to promote their global aim and competitiveness.
